THIS ISN'T
THE PART
WHERE IT ALL
WORKED OUT

But that part is coming. I'm building it in public. Every word of it.

FAILURE IS THE RAW MATERIAL

The most successful people you've ever admired — the ones who seem carved from a different stone — almost all of them have a failure story that doesn't make the highlight reel. A company that collapsed. A public fall from grace. An arrest. A bankruptcy. Something that should have finished them.

It didn't finish them. It built them.

Built by Failures is a study of that process. We're going deep on the failures of extraordinary people — not to celebrate the fall, but to understand the forge. The method. The mechanics of how someone picks themselves up and builds something better out of the wreckage.

Running parallel to all of it: my own story, told in real time, while I'm still in it. Same pattern. Different scale. Same fire.

All of it is building toward a book.

The Record

WHO I AM AND HOW I GOT HERE

I'm not telling you this for sympathy. I'm telling you this because I'm doing it again — and this time I'm writing everything down.

The Beginning

I grew up poor. Rural. The kind of background where the ceiling feels very low and very real — where the idea of making it out isn't inspiring, it's just unlikely. I grew up watching people work hard their whole lives and still not have enough. I decided early that wasn't going to be my story.

The First Win

I found my way into finance at a very young age and started making real money — the kind of money that most people my age hadn't seen yet. I was good at it. I was confident. I thought I understood the game.

The First Fall

I didn't understand the game. I lost everything. Not "had a rough quarter" lost — lost everything. Back to zero. Which is, as I would later learn, not even the worst place to start from.

The Second Rise

So I built something else. Started another company from nothing. Ground it out. Grew it to eight figures. I had made it. I had proof. I was certain this time I understood the game.

The Second Fall — And Then Some

I didn't understand the game. I lost everything again. Then I went to federal prison. I came out with $1.6 million in debt, no company, no identity, and nothing to stand on but the wreckage I was looking at. That's a different kind of zero. That's a negative that takes years just to get back to zero.

Now — The Rebuild

That's where this story begins. Not ends. I'm starting another company. I'm building my way back out. And this time, I'm writing down every single step — the decisions, the doubts, the mechanics of how a person reconstructs a life from nothing. This site is that record.

The Method

THIS BOOK IS BUILT LIKE A STARTUP

Every chapter goes live before the book is finished. That's intentional. This isn't a finished product sitting in a drawer waiting to be polished — it's a work in progress, tested in public, shaped by real readers in real time.

Each chapter is an MVP: minimum viable prose, shipped to the marketplace to find out what resonates, what lands wrong, and what's missing. You read it. You leave feedback in the comments. I listen, revise, and make it better. The book that eventually goes to print will have been built on thousands of real reactions from people who've actually been through something.

That's how the best things get made — not in isolation, but in the forge.

01
Chapter Ships Weekly

A new chapter drops every Tuesday. Raw, unfiltered, still being figured out.

02
You Leave Feedback

Every post has a live comment section. Your reaction shapes what the final book becomes.

03
The Book Gets Better

Real reader feedback drives real revisions. The published book is built from this process — not despite it.

Don't miss a chapter
